Maura was honoured by the Rotary Club of St.Albert in 2001 with the "Integrity Award", for all of her involvement in the community. When Maura reached the tender age of 50 she decided to return to school and studied Career Counselling, and became a very successful counsellor.
Maura draws on her vast experiences, and online image research while painting and loves vivid, bright colours. She uses a variety of brush sizes and palette knives to bring her oil paintings to life. Her subject matter and themes are versatile but her style remains true throughout her work.
